    Open a photo from your CSUN shoot at the botanical garden and follow along with the tutorial.



3. Creative Auto Mode/Generative Fill


We'll be heading outside to shoot on creative auto mode. Set your cameras to this mode by doing the following:

Press the Q button .

  • The Quick Control screen will appear

  • Set the desired function.

    • Press the <S> cross keys to select a function.

    • The settings of the selected function and Feature guide (p.55) will appear.

    • For the setting procedure and details on each function

      (1)Ambience-based shots


      You can select and shoot with the ambience you want to convey in your images. Press the keys or turn the dial to


      select the ambience. You can also select it from a list by pressing  . 

    Take the picture.

    • Press the shutter button completely to take the picture.

We'll be shooting bubbles and you will need to return to class with three pictures of bubbles shot in creative auto mode. You'll add an element into the bubble by using a quick selection tool and generative fill.
