  2. CSUN Visit

We'll be visiting CSUN today with our 50 mm lenses, as well as the 24-70 and 70-200 lenses.

We are shooting signs of fall for our bulletin board. We will return to class and repeat the steps of the channel mixer to add fall color.

While we're at CSUN you need to shoot the following:

A picture of the sky

A picture of you holding a leaf up at the sky (two separate photographs)

Any photographs that are reminiscent of fall (leaves, acorns, gold grass, people with coffee, etc.)

When we return we will edit using the channel mixer and also complete this edit:

  • Open the photo to just the sky

  • File<Place Embed the photo of you holding the leaf

  • Remove the background of the sky from your photo of you holding the leaf

  • Go to PNGAAA and find multiple shapes

  • File Place embed those shapes on the leaf layer

  • Rasterize your shape layers

  • Merge all of your shape layers by holding down shift to select them all simaltaneously

  • Hit Command A and command arrows

  • All of your shapes should be selected by the marching ants

  • Hold down the shift button and select your grouped shaped layer and the leaf layer

  • Merge those layers

  • Hit delete

  • Flatten<File Save As<Leaflastname.jpg
