Learning Objectives:
A8.1 Understand the component steps and skills required to design, edit, and produce a production for audio, video, electronic, or printed presentation.
A2.6 Create an artistic product that involves the effective use of the elements of art and the principles of design.
1. TV Mode
TV Mode (Time Value) on cameras lets you control shutter speed to freeze action (fast speed) or create blur (slow speed), while the camera auto-adjusts aperture for proper exposure; it's great for action, wildlife, or video but less ideal when you need precise depth of field control, otherwise, on TVs, it refers to display modes like 'Standard' for everyday viewing.
How to Use TV Mode (Camera)
Turn the Dial: Rotate your camera's main dial to Tv (on Canon) or S (on Nikon/others).
Set Shutter Speed: Use the dial to choose your shutter speed (e.g., 1/1000s for fast action, 1/30s for motion blur).
Shoot: The camera automatically sets the aperture (f-number) for correct exposure.
2.Framing
Today we will be going to CSUN to do our final exercise in framing. You will be shooting on TV Mode
Find a partner OR a prop from the prop station.
While we walk around CSUN, look for ways to frame your subject (architecture, nature, puddles, light)
Photograph your framed subject in TV mode
Return to class and edit (crop, adjustment layer, etc.)
Submit three examples of framing to Schoology.
