CTE Standard:

A2.1 Demonstrate skill in the manipulation of digital imagery (either still or video) in an industry-relevant application.

  1. Panning

We will be practicing this technique today in two ways. First, you will partner up. Have your partner run, and attempt to pan them. Here are some recommended settings:

    • Shutter Speed: 1/15s to 1/30s for significant motion blur. Use 1/60s to 1/125s for faster subjects like race cars.

    • Mode: Manual

    • Aperture: F11 to start, adjust as needed

    • Focus: Continuous Autofocus (AF-C or AI Servo) to track moving subjects.

    • ISO: Lowest setting (100) to manage exposure with slower shutter speeds.

  2. Cars

Once we've gotten comfortable, we will head out in front of our school to attempt to pan cars. Use the same technique above. Please be careful and mindful of SAFETY! NO HORSEPLAY, pushing, or stepping off the curb.

  3. Photoshop

Complete the motion blur assignment in Schoology.
