  1. The Shining Edit

Learning Objective: A2.1 Demonstrate skill in the manipulation of digital imagery (either still or video) in an industry-relevant application.

A2.6 Create an artistic product that involves the effective use of the elements of art and the principles of design.

A2.8 Plan and create artistic products that reflect complex ideas, such as distortion, color theory, arbitrary color, scale, expressive content, and real versus virtual.

    Part 1: Photography

      • Set your camera to an automatic mode

      • Set it on a tripod in the hall

      • We'll be using a hallway so it's very important to keep it quiet so we don't disturb other classes.

      • Take one photo with your subject standing in one spot.

Have your subject change spots, and take another photo. (Look creepy!) Do NOT move the camera between shots. Encourage your subject to interact with themselves.

        Part 2: Editing

      • File<Open

      • File<Place Embed second image

      • Lower the opacity of the second image to see the image underneath

      • Readjust opacity back to 100%

      • Choose "Remove Background"

      • Layer<Flatten
