Oct. 16th- Working In The Layer Panel

Just a reminder that your negative space project is due Thursday!! Check the assignment in Schoology for a reminder of the requirements.

• DO NOT turn in a photo you've already submitted to me.

• Make sure you have a quote or song lyric in your negative space. It should be clearly defined and easy to identify your negative space.

• Double-check that your quote or song lyric is spelled correctly, includes quotation marks, and has proper punctuation.

• Make sure you credit the source of the quote.

2. Double Exposure Ghost Photography

Today we'll be exploring photo stacking, or working with the layer panel. We've already used the layer panel a few times in prior projects, however, today we'll be focusing on the opacity feature and blend modes to continue getting used to these features and how they work in conjunction with each other.

We will be completing the following edit together.

You will then break into groups of threes, using tripods, and shooting downstairs. We'll return to class to edit the photos.

• Set up a tripod. Take an establishing shot. (The shot without anyone in it.)

• Take a second shot with your "ghost" in it.

• Edit the layer with the "ghost" by lowering the opacity. You can also just change the blend mode.
