1.GIF Unit/Simple GIF Creation Introduction

What is a GIF?


GIF is an acronym for Graphics Interchange Format, a file format that supports both static and animated images.


Learning Objectives:

  • Students will be able to create a silent animation using Photoshop techniques

  • Students will effectively be able to show motion through animation.

  • Students will come up with a script for their animation and develop a unique story that can flow continuously as a loop.

  • Mainly, this lesson will teach students about editing their work on computer software, and how to bring life to their drawings through simple photo manipulation and by using GIFS.

2.Create Your Own Gif

Choose a partner or work alone. You'll need a toy or construction paper, and a tripod. Take at least 5 sequential photos and repeat the original tutorial to create a GIF.


Post it to Schoology AND Padlet.
