Writer's picture: Nicole PollardNicole Pollard

1.Padlet

Google Search "Miniature Photography." Post one photo to the padlet of an example that you enjoy.

2. Play Time

  • Take a miniature person(s), a tripod, and a camera. (I'd suggest a 50mm, but you do you.)

  • Keep your fstop large, around 11 or higher. This means your aperture will be small and everything you capture will be in focus. You can shoot on manual, OR AV mode. Remember AV mode allows you to control the aperture.

  • Choose a prop(s) and lightbox to work at.

  • Create multiple images using the props. You can also go outside if you'd like to shoot in natural light. Remember to use ordinary objects creatively.

  • Submit three practice photos to Schoology of DIFFERENT narratives and objects.
