Now that we've learned about shutterspeed, we're moving on to the second element of the exposure triangle- aperture. Follow along with the lecture and fill in the blanks on your Aperture Handout assignment in Schoology.


2. Shooting on AV Mode


Set this simulator to AV mode. While TV mode gives you control over the shutterspeed, AV mode gives you control over the aperture. Today you'll do the following:


  1. Take an object outside with a partner.

  2. Set your cameras to AV Mode. Have them hold that object out at the camera like this:










3. Focus on the object.

4. Take a photo demonstrating a shallow depth of field.

5. Come back to class, edit and submit.
